My recent practice encompasses a variety of techniques, from paper, photography and video, to marble, installation, with aspirations for metal and glass. The main working tool is the needle, which I use manually to leave nonmaterial traces, simple gestures that express repetitive and irreversible marks - perforations and cavities. Through the accumulation of pores, the surfaces are transformed and they allow the eye to survey the space and the mind to transcend it. Fragility is part of the process and inherent to the technique. This is the reason it is found in most of the artworks.
The main factor that triggers my studies has an intrinsic nature, and this turns the works into an extension of intimacy that can be understood as "distentio animi" - defined by St. Augustine as an existence that stretches between attention (present), memory (past) and anticipation (future). The research revolves around the theme of light, to which I prioritize the metaphysical perspective, but with a penchant for analogies in the manifest world. The ethereal, the human being and the human conscience, the timeless in opposition to time, traces, memory, the micro and macro cosmos find themselves in the same sphere of interest and they are references with which I work constantly. I am particularly concerned with the dialogue between the unseen and the seen aspects, the border between them and the way they cohabit. The chromatic is confined to whites and pale or translucent grays.
The primary meaning of the works refers to the awareness of the duality of existence, to the irreversibility of human actions and the fact that life can be built artistically, with both a formal and a conceptual aesthetic. Thus, the works are also read in the sense of people's lives, as maps that mark in particular the moments of sharp thinking, because, in a way, one is represented by the cumulation of one’s moments of lucidity. As individuals, we share characteristics and elements that connect us, we communicate and reverberate in one way or another because, in the end, every one of us is a speck in the Universe.

Practica mea recentă abordează variate medii, de la hârtie, fotografie, video, până la marmură, instalație, cu aspirații spre metal și sticlă. Principalul instrument de lucru este acul, pe care îl folosesc manual pentru a lasă urme fără materie, gesturi simple care exprimă puncte repetitive și ireversibile – perforații și cavități. Prin acumularea de pori, suprafețele se metamorfozează și permit ochiului traversarea spațiului, iar minții depășirea acestuia. Fragilitatea este parte din proces și imanentă tehnicii. Acesta este motivul pentru care se regăsește în majoritatea lucrărilor.
Factorul principal ce declanșează studiile mele este de natură intrinsecă, iar asta face ca lucrările să fie o extensie a intimității ce poate fi înțeleasă ca “distentio animi” – definită de Sf. Augustin ca existență ce se întinde intre atenție (prezent), memorie (trecut) și anticipare (viitor). Cercetarea o încheg in jurul temei luminii, căreia ii prioritizez perspectiva metafizică, dar cu aplecare spre analogii în lumea manifestă. Diafanul, omul și conștiința umană, atemporalul în opoziție cu timpul, urmele, memoria, micro și macro cosmosul se află în aceeași sferă de interes și sunt referințe cu care lucrez constant. Mă preocupă în mod special dialogul dintre aspectele nevăzute și cele văzute, granița dintre acestea și modul cum coabitează. Cromatica este concentrată la tonuri de alb și griuri colorate pale sau translucide.
Sensul primordial al lucrărilor trimite la conștientizarea dualității existenței, a ireversibilității acțiunilor umane și a faptului că viața poate fi construită artistic, cu o estetică atât formală, cât și conceptuală. Astfel, lucrările se citesc și în sensul vieții oamenilor, ca hărți ce marchează în special momentele de acuitate în gândire, pentru că, dintr-o perspectivă, cumulul clipelor de luciditate ale fiecăruia îl reprezintă. Ca indivizi, avem puncte și elemente comune care ne conectează, comunicăm și reverberăm într-un fel sau altul, deoarece, în final, suntem fiecare un punct în Univers.
